We have all read about facelifts, a nip and tuck here and there, but do we really need to undergo the knife to look more youthful and to create that radiant glow. We look at alternatives to surgical beauty treatments that can yield results. Of course, in some cases you may opt for a surgical procedure, whether it be a gastric band to fight obesity or require surgery to combat the appearance of an injury.

Skincare Products.

There are a plethora of beauty and skincare products available on the market, these range from exfoliation products to remove dead skin and unblock pores, skin treatments such as oils and balms containing vitamins and minerals to nourish the skin and the epidermis, to skincare kits that encourage natural renewal of skin cells. The price range of these are vast from budget products from a couple of pounds to treatments that are quite costly. It is worth shopping around and finding the beauty products that suit your skin (and your pocket.) The regime really for healthy looking skin is to cleanse, tone and moisturise, so using a combination of skin care products to cover this will yield the best results.

Botox Treatments

Botox treatment has become popular over the years and involves injections to firm and tone the skin, the most common being facial Botox. This drug is prepared from botulin (Botulinum Toxin), and essentially freezes muscles and cosmetically removes wrinkles. Botox treatment is a short-term solution with the effects eventually wearing off and requiring re-applications. It should be noted that when receiving Botox treatments, ensure that you get them from a reputable clinic and licenced medical professional to avoid any unnecessary and dangerous health risks.

Healthy Diet

This is probably the most effective nonsurgical treatment you could undertake. By ensuring a healthy diet, and getting your regular supply of vitamins such as vitamin C, D and E to name but a few, you can maintain a healthy look. Avoiding foods that are high in fats and consuming plenty of greens which contain anti-oxidants can not only improve your overall appearance but also encourage a healthier body to maintain your youthful looks.
