When we announced a 'C' change for CSR we had not anticipated a global 'C' change in our work and social environment brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. A global reset, from which we will all experience changes to how we work and live in the future.

Our hope is that we come to recognise the importance of social value and moral responsibility and that it becomes standard policy for all organisations. Supporting and contributing to the common good is essential for our own good. If we work together we can really show the best of us. The coming months will provide plenty of opportunities for all organisations to show support for staff, struggling businesses and charities. Let's make a positive difference.

  • Use this difficult time to demonstrate your commitment to others.

  • It is not just an investment in your business but in your staff, helping to enrich the quality of their lives with value and purpose.

  • Social responsibility enables employers to enrich the quality of employees lives by including CSR as part of the job description. You can develop CSR initiatives that make your employees proud.

  • You will see a significant return in investment through improved reputation, and engaged and productive workforce. By becoming an employer of choice, successful investment and tendering and consumer loyalty.

  • Become CSR accredited to show the value of social purpose and your commitment to a greater vision for future generations.

CSR strategy provides a structure that can help an organisation plan and act responsibly.

Using our CSR Four Pillars of Workplace, Environment, Community and Philanthropy you can identify ways to meet and understand and react to these challenges.

There is now no doubt about the positive impact of successful CSR policy on profitability for an organisation. The financial value of CSR can be seen across all of business performance. Companies clients and consumers favour suppliers who have responsible policies, as this reflects on how their audiences, in turn, see them. People do not just prefer to deal with responsible companies – they now insist on it.

Emotional investment - Enriching the quality of our lives

We often talk about the tangible benefits of having a social responsibility policy, the ones that have a clear and easily measurable outcome. But what about those intangible benefits?

Social responsibility is a powerful emotional investment that has a positive impact on all stakeholders. It makes us feel good because it is about something good. The impact we make by supporting staff, looking after the environment and supporting community projects and charities make us proud and happy which has a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing, productivity and engagement.

The common good, is our good.

Demonstrate your commitment now and become a social responsibility leader.
