In July, the Blakemore Foodservice team attended the Lead Association for Catering in Education’s (LACA) Main Event at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
The Main Event showcases the Education Catering Exhibition and is the only exhibition dedicated 100% to the educational market.
The Education Catering Exhibition offers customers the chance to catch up with suppliers and discuss new products, as well as source new ideas.
Over the three-day event, colleagues from Blakemore Foodservice partnered up with colleagues from dough-based product supplier Pan’artisan to showcase products and attract potential customers.
Blakemore Foodservice Trade Sector Manager Matt Johnson explained: “The LACA Main event is always a key event in our calendar with education being one of the main sectors we operate in.
“This year saw a great mix of customers visiting our stand, attracted by the eye-catching food on offer from Pan’artisan, our partners for the event. Stuart and Mary from Pan’artisan complimented our team and were enthusiastic and supportive throughout the two days.
“Relationships were strengthened with existing customers and we identified numerous new and exciting business opportunities, which the sales team are already busy following up.
“We continue to support LACA as the main voice of education catering in the UK and enjoy the presence in the trade that the Main Event offers us.”
Pan’artisan Sales & Marketing Co-Ordinator Charlotte Kilduff said: “This year the LACA Main Event show was outstanding. We received some exciting leads and met some great people.
“Working alongside the Blakemore Foodservice team was a pleasure; we especially loved how they explained our products with such passion and energy.
“The location we were in was excellent, the stand was branded with both Pan’artisan and Blakemore Foodservice, our products looked amazing and we were surrounded by potential customers wanting to sample our range.
“We thank everyone at Blakemore Foodservice for allowing us to share the stand this year and a big thank you to LACA.”
