Throughout his time with the Army, John Thomson was a soldier’s soldier. His leadership qualities made him the type of man troops would happily follow into battle. His experience included Command of an Infantry Battalion and being Deputy Brigade Commander, 42 (NW) Brigade and Divisional Colonel 5th Division.
John left the military in 2012. He took the qualities he developed as an officer and applied them to his business interests. Leadership, team building, and strategic thinking all play a part in his successful post-service career.
Now John is a highly regarded executive coach. He works with corporates and individuals, helping them to achieve at the highest level. He draws upon the experience and training he enjoyed in the Army to provide extraordinary value to his clients.
He has a number of businesses, including - in an extreme contrast to his military past - running a leading chain of children’s nurseries. He is a proud example of the range of activities that soldiering skills can lead to.
We are looking forward to his presentation at Standing on the Shoulders of Giants. John is going to talk about how the Army builds the best teams in the world and how you can use it in your business. He’ll also speak about how you can empower your team and get the best from them. Plus how to super-charge your own self-esteem and confidence.
