Cabinet Office Receives £500K fine from ICO

The Cabinet Office has reportedly received a £500K fine for a data breach, from the ICO.  They apparently released personal data in regards to the honours list recipients.  We ought to be impressed that the ICO is prepared to take on the Cabinet Office and yes, it takes some bottle, but then it's us poor tax payers who will stump up the £500K, so somewhat of a pointless punishment.  If we could publicly pillory the Cabinet Secretary now ................................
