DriveTech (UK) Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Charlie Norman as its new Director. Charlie has been the Chief Financial Officer of DriveTech for the last 3 years, and replaces David Wilson, who has decided to move on after 3 years in the role to be closer to his family.

DriveTech, a business wholly owned by the AA, serves the business driver community in the UK and internationally providing a range of driver risk management and driver training services, and is also the UK's largest provider of police diversionary training courses working with 34 police forces across the country.

Having worked in the AA for the last 16 years, Charlie has a breadth and depth of knowledge of the motoring and motorist landscape and a progressive view on the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Commenting on his appointment Charlie said:

"Our mission at DriveTech is 'working together to eliminate road death and serious injury' and I will continue to drive this crucial agenda forward with the DriveTech team. With 'Vision Zero' increasingly prevalent, new imminent EU regulations to include additional safety components onto new vehicles, and the whole transition around changes in the mobility landscape, these are truly transformational times.

I want to ensure DriveTech plays a prominent part in this marketplace and can continue to extend its reach and positive impact. In this of all weeks - United Nations Road Safety Week (6-12 May) - I am committed to leading our efforts to improve safety on our roads and reduce collisions and deaths."
