ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – (August 14, 2018) – Bright lights, fast cars and the sound of some of the most iconic vehicles of film and music are about to hit the auction block at GWS Auctions’ upcoming Legends: Iconic Film & Music Memorabilia Auction to take place in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 25, 2018. GWS Auctions will highlight sixteen cars and other vehicles from the big screen and chart topping musical artists as part of the over 150 items to be offered in the memorabilia auction.

 

 

 

 

Automotive highlights of the film & music memorabilia auction include the instantly recognizable 1970 Dodge Charger driven by actor Vin Diesel who played Dominic Toretto in the blockbuster hit “Fast and Furious” (2009); a 1987 Buick Grand National “Wheelie Car” also driven by actor Vin Diesel in the blockbuster film “Fast and Furious” (2009); Elvis Presley’s 1977 Sea-Mist Green Cadillac Seville which was the final vehicle Elvis purchased before his death; Rob Zombie’s “31” 1976 GMC Motorhome used during production of the 2016 Rob Zombie horror film; a Scooby Doo Fan Built “Mystery Machine” 1969 Dodge A100; a customized “Lil” Lightening McQueen 2013 EXGO RXV Electric Golf Cart inspired by the hit film “Cars” (2006); Elvis Presley’s 1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Cartier Edition; a Knight Rider (2008) “KITT” 2008 Ford Mustang GT from the television series; a museum exhibited favorite Elvis Presley “Dodge ‘em” Bumper Car from Libertyland Amusement Park and several other vehicles.

 

 

Other highlights offered in the Legends: Iconic Hollywood & Music Memorabilia auction include Elvis Presley’s personal Gideon Bible with underlined passages made by the King himself, the racquet used by Elvis Presley to play racquetball with his beloved cousin and best friend Billy Smith the day before he passed away, a well documented 1977 Sea-Mist Green Cadillac Seville, which is the last vehicle purchased by The King of Rock n’ Roll before his death, the “Missing” bejeweled Michael Jackson glove created for Jackson by his costume designer that has never been offered at auction after it was locked in a storage unit for over a decade, a Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown wedding invitation; a gold watch given to Sharon Tate by her mother before her tragic murder by the followers of Charles Manson, and an Adrian designed Munchkin coat with its MGM label made for the production of “The Wizard of Oz and much more.
