Using Freelance Services.

Running a business can be an expensive experience, especially when you need specific services that can’t be done in house. This can be anything from the redesign of a logo, a flyer designed, or even a menu written. All of these can cost you a pretty penny if you hire a specialist company to take care of it. This is why more and more people are turning towards freelancing sites for their business solutions.

Flexibility as a Freelancer.

As a freelancer you are not employed by anyone, so effectively you are your own boss, choose your own hours and what work you want to take on. The downside is, you have to attract the clients, and in an aggressive market, this can be difficult. No work means no pay!

So more and more freelancers are turning to freelance sites to sell their services such as People Per Hour, Fivequid and Fiverr. All these websites allow you to list your services and they do all the advertising on your behalf to bring in new customers, and in return take a percentage of each job completed.

The way Freelance Sites Work.

If a company is looking for a specific service and find it on a freelance site, upon ordering they pay the price of the job, this is held in escrow until the work has been completed and is only then released to the freelancer once the company is happy, offering a certain level of buyer and seller protection. The upside is that you can get work done at very affordable rates with no overheads, staff to pay or other costs associated with taking someone on. The downside is, that you don’t always get the quality you require and it pays to do due diligence before hiring a particular freelancer, by checking their feedback and seeing examples of previous work.

Overall, freelancers can enjoy the benefits of working to flexible hours and companies can benefit from the money that can be saved by using their services so it is a win-win when it comes to either being or hiring a freelancer for your next project.
