Russell O’Hagan joined 333 Racing in the role of Operations Director in March 2021 and has been undertaking the duties of Acting Team Principal since the departure of Christian Silk back in August. He achieved a 1 Class degree in Engineering prior to commencing his motorsport career which has spanned over 20 years. During this time, Russell has garnered skills in engineering, R&D, calibrations, motorsport operations, business finance and sports politics.

With successes in touring, sports car, and GT championships (most notably with Craft Bamboo Racing), Russell brings a breadth of global experience and strong relationships throughout Europe and Asia.  He is passionate about racing and sustainability and has now assumed the role of Deputy Team Principal alongside his duties in a newly created position of C.O.O at the NIO 333 Formula E Team.

Russell O’Hagan, C.O.O and Deputy Team Principal adds,
“I am delighted to be announced as Deputy Team Principal for NIO 333 Formula E Team following a handover period stretching back to the middle of Season 7.  We have an exciting time ahead as we continue to settle into our new HQ at Silverstone and push forward ever harder with our GEN 3 programme. I am relishing the challenge of the new season, commencing with the pre-Season 8 test in Valencia next week, and to realising the fruits of our labour after a great team effort over the last six months.”

Further recruitment to bolster the 333 Racing team based in the new HQ at Silverstone, UK, includes Gary Reynders, who joins in the role of Chief Mechanic from Williams Advanced Engineering/Jaguar Racing and veteran multi series race engineer, Matt Beers who joins the expanding engineering and controls department.

The NIO 333 Formula E Team driver line up for the coming season will be announced ahead of the 2021-22 FIA Formula E World Championship all-teams test at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia, Spain taking place next week.
