A couple from Longnor in Shropshire have decided to ignore traditional methods of selling their £500,000 house and have instead opted to hold a raffle instead. Each ticket costs £2 and there is also an additional prize of £5000 to the person that helps sell the most tickets.

In order to cover all the costs, the couple need to sell 300,000 tickets. If that amount isn’t reached, then the winner will receive 90% of the ticket receipts which is still potentially a life changing amount of money.

Michael and Linda Chatha insist that as unusual as this seems it is all 100% above board and the house featured truly is the prize.

The winner will be the owner of the house situated in the quiet village of Longnor, south of Shrewsbury. The house consists of 3 bedrooms with the master being ensuite and a family bathroom. On the ground floor you’ll find a farmhouse style kitchen along with a dining room, living room and study.

Adjoining the house is also a self-contained annex with an additional living room and bedroom.

If this sounds like something you’d been interested in winning the full details and how to enter can be found at their website here.
