Two weeks to go until Cenex’s 12th annual LCV event and inaugural Connected Automated Mobility (CAM) event

Cenex will be hosting its 12th annual low carbon vehicle event, Cenex-LCV2019, and its inaugural connected and autonomous vehicle event, Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility (CAM), in just two weeks’ time at Millbrook Proving Ground. Taking place on 4th – 5th September 2019, the co-located events will attract more than 4,000 delegates, over 150 presenters in the largest ever seminar programme, a technology exhibition and networking opportunities.

Highlights include:

·        The newly launched Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility event will be co-located at LCV2019. â€‹Cenex-CAM will host companies, universities, R&D consortia and test facilities wishing to share their latest technology developments, as well as progress with research projects. Key features include a dedicated exhibition & seminar area; 9 seminar sessions over 2 days in a 150+ seated seminar hall, 2 workshops for the ‘UK Connected and Automated Mobility Roadmap to 2030’ being launched by Zenzic, and a dedicated networking area.

 

·        Keynote presentations for Cenex-LCV2019 by Mike Hawes, CEO, Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT); Ian Campbell, Interim Executive Chair, InnovateUK and Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands.  Keynote speakers for Cenex-CAM include Iain Forbes, Head of the Centre of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV), Andy Graham, Chair of the ITS-UK Connected Vehicles Forum, Jonathan Eaton, Director of Business Solutions, Millbrook Proving Ground and David Wong, Senior Technology and Innovation Manager, SMMT. Rt Hon George Freeman, Minister of State for Transport has been invited to officially open both events.
 

·        This year sees the release of Cenex’s largest ever seminar programme which includes over 150 presenters from leading organisations in the industry including the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), Nissan, China EV100, the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP), Zenzic and many more.
 

·        Collaboration with the International Road Safety Conference 2019. The International Road Safety Conference (3rd – 4th September 2019) will bring together ministers, road safety experts and private sector representatives from across the globe. The two-day event will focus on collaborative learning, with topics to be discussed including Vision Zero, the safe systems approach, and technology and innovation. Following day one of the event in London, day two will continue at Cenex-CAM.

 

·        Cenex has partnered with Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) to run a whole-day seminar stream on Battery Safety and Legislation. Taking place on day one (4 September), the seminar stream will be held in the Seminar Dome and consist of four  sessions between 9:30 and 17:15. Sessions will explore safety engineering considerations that are prerequisites for the large-scale roll-out of Lithium Ion Batteries, Battery Transportation and Safe Packaging, Safety in Electric Vehicles and Battery Recycling, and more.
